Laddia S. Holly was born in Los Angeles, California. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Academia de Belle Arte in Florence, Italy. After returning to the United States Laddia continued her education at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland.

Over the years Laddia has won various awards for her art. In 1998 the Marin County Fair awarded her watercolor of a family of wolves with second place. In the early 70’s she designed the drum skirt for Charlie Watts of the Rolling Stones. They depicted two dragons facing each other. The Rolling Stones took the drum skirts to Japan where it was photographed and used on their album cover “The Rolling Stones (Japanese edition).” In 1982 Laddia designed the album cover for jazz musician Joe Sample’s “The Hunter.”

While working on films and commercials Laddia went on the do artwork for the movie “The Game” with Michael Douglas and Sean Penn, and the TV Series “Nash Bridges” with Don Johnson. She has written, illustrated and published a children’s book “Windy the Winged Rabbit.” Laddia is currently working on her second children’s book.
